At the judging of the SAKE Division of “IWC 2026,” one of the world’s largest wine competitions held in Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, from May 18 to 21, 2026, our product “MIYANOYUKI Daiginjo” received the highest award, the “Trophy,” in the Daiginjo Category of the International Wine Challenge (IWC) 2026 SAKE Division.
The SAKE Division was divided into 11 categories, with a record-high 1,738 labels (including 24 overseas labels) entered by 457 breweries (including 12 overseas breweries).
These entries were evaluated through blind tasting by 70 judges gathered from 21 countries, and based on the results, Gold Medals, Silver Medals, Bronze Medals, and Commended Sake awards were presented.
Among the Gold Medal-winning sake in each category, the most outstanding label was selected, and this time “MIYANOYUKI Daiginjo” was chosen as a Trophy-winning sake.
The highest award in the SAKE Division, “Champion Sake,” is selected from among the Trophy winners of each category, and will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held in London on September 8 (local time).
Without becoming complacent with this achievement, we will continue to place the highest priority on quality and strive even further to meet everyone’s expectations.
